Here’s a snippet of my life as a bookworm and book blogger…

I know we all have a TBR that could crush us to death, but that’s not what I’m going to talk about. Today, I want to talk about those books you add to your TBR but you never get to. Since our TBR’s are so long it’s almost impossible to keep up. We keep adding new ones, which means that some of the old ones get pushed back. In my case, some of these books get shelved on the TBR indefinitely. These are the books I’m planning to read “someday” but that I fear I’ll never get to.
A few examples…
I have read only fangirl but it wasn’t my thing (it might be yours though but I didn’t get the Snow-Harry Potter references and there wasn’t enough romance in it for me). I haven’t read it yet but I would bump up Ready Player One!

Noted! I’ve heard lots of great things about Ready Player One so I should get to it soon-ish 🙂

I read A World Without You last January and I really liked it. I hope you’ll like it, too 🙂
BTW, Fangirl have a permanent spot on my TBR. I have the book, but I haven’t gotten around to actually reading it. I don’t know how likely that is… lol

Me too 🙂
And maybe we should read Fangirl together someday in the future so we can both scratch that one off the list 😀

OMG, that’s a brilliant idea! Let’s do it! If you don’t mind me being a slow reader lol

I don’t mind at all 😀
I’m too swamped to read it this month, but August should work for me. What do you think?

That sounds perfect! I’ve also got too many books to read, August works fine! 😀

Great! Now we both have a commitment to read it. And it’ll be fun, too. We can share our thoughts while we’re reading and when we’re done 🙂

I totally have an endless TBR. I have read or attempted to read some of these. I DNFed A World Without You. It just was not getting anywhere and I guess I was not feeling patient. Maybe another time. I really liked It’s Kind of a Funny story, because I could relate to it. Wonder was so ah-mazing. Not only was it a beautiful story, but I thought Palacio’s used the multiple perspectives brilliantly. Fangirl is a fave, nothing but love for RR, and I really liked It Started with Goodbye and Noteworthy. I hope to get to Made You Up and A List of Cages, and my loan just came through for North of Happy, so I am reading that this week.

I’ve read the beginning of It’s Kind of a Funny Story a while back and I really liked it, but I haven’t gotten to reading the rest of it yet. Maybe soon.
I’m also really looking forward to Fangirl because I like books about fandom and I love RR’s writing style so that should be a good one.

Ready Player One really is a fun book to read. I went through it pretty quickly and loved it. Felt pretty innovating to me, which was an added bonus.
The Night Circus has been on my TBR for ages as well. I did make some progress though! I bought it! Haha. Now it’s just not only on my Goodreads-TBR, but actually on my physical TBR-pile as well.

I’ve heard very good things about Ready Player One and I think it would be a nice change from all the contemporaries I usually read.
And that’s definitely progress! All of these are just on my Goodreads TBR. I don’t actually own any of them (yet) 😀

Time to find out? Haha. A couple of months back I decided to go though my entire TBR on Goodreads. Since I’ve had it for quite some time, there were books on there that I’ve just.. Gotten “too old” for, I guess. It made the pile shrink a bit, but not that much, haha.

That’s actually a good idea! I should do that sometime.

You should! And you’d probably up some books on your TBR while doing so as well. Only advantages!

I read Leonard Peacock a few years ago and it didn’t really strike me as amazing, the same with It’s Kind of a Funny Story, but both were OK reads. However, I highly recommend bumping Fangirl up the TBR! It’s such a cute contemporary novel which is so easy to read and very relatable for most of us book bloggers and fanatics! I am yet to read The Night Circus, but I definitely want to get to it soon. Happy Reading 🙂

There’ve been a few votes for Fangirl already so I’m definitely moving that one up.
Thanks for commenting and happy reading to you too! 🙂

Fangirl is one of my favorites, I reread it all the time! Ready Player One is also an amazing read, I love it. And Wil Wheaton reads the audiobook which I geeked out over. There is a movie coming out next year and I worry how it will portray the book. I hope it does it justice but I would suggest reading it before seeing the movie! The first several chapters are very detailed in setting up the world but once the story gets going it is amazing so keep that in mind if you read it!

Thanks for commenting! Ready Player One and Fangirl seem to be favourites so I’m going to bump them up on the list 🙂

If I had to suggest 3 books from this list it would be The Night Circus, Ready Player One, and Highly Illogical Behaviour!!! Those three were amazing! The Night Circus is probably in my top 10 favourite books EVER!

Thanks for the suggestions! I really hope I’ll get to read all of them

I’ve only read Wonder… and it was just “okay” to me. XD I’ve heard SUCH great things about The Night Circus and it’s high on my TBR! OMG I READ INEXPLICABLE LOGIC SORRY. XD It was really good! Not as great as Ari and Dante tho. ❤

Yes, Night Circus is supposed to be beautiful! I really loved Ari & Dante so I’m not surprised it’s not as good, but I’d still like to read it because I like Saenz’s writing style. Thanks for leaving a comment, May! ❤

I’m exactly like this too, I have so many books and keep adding more and more…And when I look back on what I Haven’t read yet it’s scary…Oh well, It is what it is and I’m sure that I won’t stop adding books to my TBR..

It doesn’t stop me either. We keep just adding books no matter what 😀

This post describes my entire reading life, haha. My TBR is absolutely ridiculous. It’s honestly never ending. I always try and get it under control, but it never seems to work. For every book I remove I end up adding like 5 more 😂
Out of those books I’ve read Noteworthy and Highly Illogical Behavior. I highly recommend both of them!! They both discuss a lot of important issues, but are really fun too. The agoraphobia rep in HIB is so accurate to my own experiences it was so great to read and Noteworthy is one of my favourite books of the year.

There are a lot of series that are on my permanent TBR. I just can’t bring myself to start new series anymore. It’s such a big commitment.

Oh, me too! There are a few series on my TBR too, but, like you said, they are a big commitment which stops me from starting the first book

TBR will be the death of me. Love reading a writing book reviews over on my blog. I’m studying literature as well, it’s sad to think we’ll probably never get to read all the books we’d like to. Some of these look great! I’m on the Bronte sisters at the moment haha
