I hope you’re having a lovely Sunday.
As for me, I’m saddened by the news of what’s happened in Charlottesville yesterday. It’s just…unimaginable that something like that still happens in the 21st century. Having said that, I’m having friends over today so I’m going to try and focus on what will always win: love and friendship. I hope you will too and then tomorrow we can resume the fight against hate and violence.
Around the Blog is a weekly post that will feature my top five posts I’ve read during that week. It’s my way of appreciating other bloggers’ content and to share the love for the chosen posts and bloggers with my followers in the hope they’ll love them as much as I do.
Here are my favourite posts of this week…
Most Anticipated MG / YA Releases of September and October @ReadingAsiam. This is a great list of September and October releases, both MG and YA. I have quite a few of them on my TBR such as Starfish and They Both Die at the End (obviously).
How Blogging Helps with Social Anxiety by May @Foreverandeverly: this is a very interesting take on how blogging might help people who suffer from socialy anxiety. May is not diagnosed herself (and neither am I) but I think she still makes a good point. (Though whether this “works” or not is entirely dependant on the person, as she clearly points out).
Reading around the World: New York by Beth @ReadingEeveryNight: I love traveling, I love NY (never been there, but still…), I love reading so this post was perfect for me. Go visit her blog for some excellent recommendations and stunning pictures!
25 Books with Bisexual Protagonists by Alice @Arctic Books: I’m always looking for books with diverse characters so this is a great list for me. If you’re looking for bisexual representation, this is the perfect post for you!
